I started Back-in-Action by leaving a management position with a large healthcare system that was losing it’s focus on a patient centered environment. My objective with this move was to stay involved with patient care and to create an environment where people are treated like family – an emphasis that is instilled in all of our staff to this day.
My wife and my two sons remain my grounded focus . My passion is my profession and the outdoors. I make every effort to find out what is important to my clients and integrate that into their treatment plan. I find it very rewarding to help patients return to the things that they enjoy in life.
I have had extensive training and experience in manual therapy techniques for the spine and extremities for a large variety of orthopedic conditions. I am certified in dry needling and have a special interest in clients who have gone to other facilities for rehab and failed to obtain relief of their symptoms.

I started my journey into physical therapy when I had a shoulder related injury from high school swimming. I enjoyed the interactive environment within the therapy community and the positive outcomes from having attended. This led me to study at UW-Stevens Point graduating with a degree in health science. From there I attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida receiving my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in 2015. Since then I have had the pleasure of treating a variety of patients in outpatient and home health settings.
Outside of the PT world I am a new mom and am enjoying all the “things”! We are very active outdoors and find something to do in all the Wisconsin seasons. I also love traveling and am always planning the next adventure.
I look forward to progressing my career and enhancing my skills in the years to come!

Bio
My husband and I moved to Fond du Lac in 1999 from a small town in Illinois along the Mississippi River. We sought this area, as we didn’t want to be too far from family and we both enjoy winter and summer activities along the water. I was fortunate to get hired at Back-In-Action as a staff physical therapist. I tell people “I grew up as a therapist here.” I had worked in a few other clinics and hospital settings prior to relocating, and this was definitely a different environment. We are fast-paced, patient focused, collaborative, and funny! I worked here, developing special interest and pursuing additional education in the areas of women’s health, chronic spine and hip disorders, pelvic pain and chronic pain.
After having my 2 kids and with changes in healthcare requiring more keyboard time, I took a break from therapy for a few months and then worked for a few years in pain management at a much larger corporate setting. It was a learning experience in many ways, both as a clinician and understanding the differences between big healthcare and Back in Action. The pandemic prompted my departure from that relationship in the end of Back in Action. The pandemic prompted my departure from that relationship in the end of 2021. I returned to Back in Action, as they had a need, and I can say, I am thrilled to be back with a seasoned team that appreciates relationships with each other and with our patients.
I value the genuine interest each therapist and staff takes in every client, their stores, and the recovery process. I value the experience Back in Action enjoys throughout our clinics, having mostly veteran staff and the humility in each of us to willingly learn from one another with the sole purpose of giving the patient the best experience possible.

Bio
I truly believe physical and mental well-being go hand in hand. When our activities of daily life become difficult or impossible due to pain it is easy to not see a silver lining.
Physical work, sports, and staying active in the outdoors have always brought a sense of accomplishment and joy to me. Throughout my life I have had my share of injuries that have sidelined me from doing what I love. These personal experiences were my motivation to become a Physical Therapist Assistant.
After graduating from MATC in 2018 I started work in an outpatient setting. Working in physical rehabilitation has been more rewarding than I could have hoped for. It is a great privilege sharing in the milestones of patients becoming stronger and more confident on the way to reaching their goals. I look forward to helping patients and growing with the team here at Back In Action in the coming years.
